lyrics

BETWEEN THE EARTH AND THE SKY

This morning I woke up gray
Just like this cloudy day
Still haven’t made up my mind
Whether to shine or to rain

So I lie here on the floor
Listening to the cars roll by
Thinking about where I’d like to be
And oh, how many miles…

Between the Earth and the Sky
Between your heart and mine

The clock says that I should go
By now I know his face better than yours
But the distance is so great
Between my hand and the door

Ain’t it funny how two things can touch
And still be so far away why?
I thought that it was love
But I was just caught in the space

Between the Earth and the Sky
Between your heart and mine
